How to use the CS support wiki

This site functions as a wiki-wiki which means that anyone can edit any page provided they have the necessary privileges.

The site contains both public information as well as a section of restricted information. The restricted information is used by the Support personnel to coordinate their activities and to record technical information.

The main objective of this site is to provide technical information on the computing systems being used at the Computer Science Department. If you find this information too technical for you then you can visit also the more general Computing site.

As a wiki, edits made on this site are saved and the new content is available immediately but changes can be reverted and previous versions be recovered if necessary. So do not worry if you mess up the whole thing. Also discussions can be carried on about each of the pages and its contents by using the <discussion> option on the top menu.

So if you would like to edit a page use the "Edit" button. If you would like to start a discussion about that particular subject use the "Discussion" button.

If you would like to experiment in writing for this wiki then go to the Sandbox and write there your efforts. The administrators will regularly clean the Sandbox.
