OOS

The OOS (Online Ordering System) is a software application, still in its first stages, that tries to create an electronic online ordering system particularly created for managing orders and payments for the Computer Science department. Actually it is not unique to he CS department but it is highly custom to academic departments with research budgets and independent projects.

OOS Problems

In the administrative option when clicking on view to view a request from 2004 you get a page error. The work -around this problem is to change the 5 to 4 in the url at the end of the file. E.g. .....bla_2005.html to ....bla_2004.html

Hopefully it will be fixed soon

Student's Version related problems

1. When partially ordering a request there is no way of ordering the rest of the items
2. While creating a new order if you accidentally hit <ENTER> the form is submitted and there is no way to edit the order
3. There is no option for printing a printer friendly version of the order without going to the All Orders page first
4. Too many feof and fread errors are logged in the error logs
5. When you want to view all orders decsending you get the error: "Invalid query: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '+0 DESC , date DESC' at line 2".Andrim
6. Instead of the column From, which is meanless it would be better if we had two columns, one with the company and another with the object we are buying.Andrim
7. It would be better if we could order an item without having a request. Many times this is necessary. Andrim

9. When i want to delete a kondyli, i cannot navigte through pages.Andrim
10. When i delete a kondyli, then the page shows without template and is not working.Andrim
11. Click on Edit to edit a request, it should display only the requests that can be edit and not "NOT EDITABLE" requests.Andrim
12. Which requsets can we edit? Shouldn`t we could edit a request until approved for example? I can only edit No45785 and not a new request i just entered... Why? Andrim

OOS future upgrades

1. It would be nice if we could type the name of the "erevnitiko programma". For example if we choose choice 5.Erevnitika programmata, a text box appears, to insert the name of the program. Andrim 10:32, 20 Μαρτ 2006 (EET)

PROPOSAL - Νέο version του OOS που περιλαμβάνει τις παραγγελίες

Σκοπός της αναβάθμισης του OOS είναι να καταγράφει τις παραγγελίες του Μηχανογραφικού Εξοπλισμού του Τμήματος με βάση το υπάρχον σύστημα των requests. Επίσης μελλοντικά θα πραγματοποιεί τα εντάλματα πληρωμής ή προπληρωμής.

Αλλαγές:

• Aλλαγή των ονομάτων των κονδυλίων στην εισαγωγή νέου request.
• Για την εισαγωγή request με κονδύλι τα Ερευνητικά Προγράμματα να μπορούμε να προσθέσουμε text box οπου θα αναγράφετε το όνομα του Ερευνητικού Προγράμματος ή menu που θα περιέχει όλα τα ερευνητικά.
• Το request βάση του οποίου θα γίνεται η παραγγελία θα αλλάζει κατάσταση απο Pending σε Ordered και θα μπορούμε ανά πάσα στιγμή να βλέπουμε όλα τα requests που εκκρεμούν.
• Οι παραγγελίες θα βρίσκονται καταγραμμένες στη βάση με τον ίδιο τρόπο που καταγράφονται τώρα σε Excel και Word ενώ ταυτόχρονα θα δημιουργούνται οι καταστάσεις του προϋπολογισμού και των ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων. (Agores2006.xls)
• Τα εντάλματα πληρωμής θα δημιουργούνται αυτόματα από το σύστημα.
